Five golfers place in Top 10 at Indiana Women’s Golf Association State Amateur Championship
Five Hamilton County golfers reached the top 10 of the Indiana Women’s Golf Association State Amateur Championship, which took place this week at The Players Club in Muncie. The three-day, 54-hole event ran from July 22 to 24 at the Woodland Trails course. Westfield’s Samantha Brown was the county’s top finisher, placing fourth with a five under par score of 211.

Carmel renames street in honor of tennis Olympian Rajeev Ram
On July 22, live from Paris, France, Carmel native and tennis Olympian Rajeev Ram had a special FaceTime call. Mayor Sue Finkam, Ram’s mother, and family members and friends gathered in Midtown Plaza to wish him well in the Olympic games. The Mayor also presented Ram’s mother with a temporary street sign bearing his name, that will be placed at Walnut Street and Monon Boulevard.
