Undergoing another head coaching change, the Syracuse Rocket softball team welcomes back Gregg Weibusch as head coach for one year. Coach Weibusch notes, “After a two-year hiatus, I’m taking back the reigns for one season. The seniors were freshmen the last time I coached, so familiarity exists. A couple of the juniors were also my student managers. Having a lot of positives to build on, these girls have the opportunity to be an exciting group.”

Arrest made in house fire that occured in Norfolk
NORFOLK - A house fire that occurred in Norfolk yesterday has led to the arrest of a homeless man on arson charges. Norfolk Police Captain Mike Bauer stated in a press release that Norfolk Fire and Rescue, along with the Norfolk Police Department, were called out to the fire located at 1201 West Phillip Avenue around 7:40 p.m. yesterday.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Heartland Regional Food Business Center (RFBC) have announced the availability of more than $3.7 million in Business Builder Grants to support small, mid-sized, and diverse food and farm entrepreneurs. These grants will promote business expansion, job creation, business capacity building, and increase local products in the local market. The funding is available for local food projects in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and northwest Arkansas.
