Wind conditions changed later in the day, giving a boost to some of the larger and faster boats in the race. The first to cross the finish line was Wizard in Class A shortly after 1pm Sunday. The leader for much of the race was Maverick, who also won the Chicago to Mackinac Race, but had to withdraw due to a mast failure. As of Monday morning, much of the fleet was in a line between Mackinac Island and Rogers City. The remaining boats are expected to finish Monday afternoon.
