West Markham in Little Rock to Get a ‘Road Diet’
A section of West Markham Street is set to be reworked from Cedar Street to Pearl Avenue, including a “road diet.” The term describes the process of reconfiguring multi-lane roads back down to two lanes with a center turning lane and sometimes bike lanes to improve safety for drivers, bike riders and pedestrians.

Morrilton Depot Museum highlights area's agriculture history
The Morrilton Depot Museum volunteers manned a booth at last week’s Main Street Morrilton Farmers' Market where they had on display various farmers' tools, mostly from yesteryear, including a plow, cotton farming tools, a “pick sack”, and cotton bolls. Another item that was displayed was a 1919 pressure cooker and its cookbook. It was given to the museum by the descendants of the Oates family of Oppelo, and it represents one of the first three pressure cookers in Conway County. The other two were owned by the E. E. Mitchell family of early downtown business fame and the Smith family of Smith Springs...
