Harding University offers veterans 20% discount on select graduate studies
Searcy-based Harding University announced Tuesday (July 23) a 20% discount for veterans for two of its online continuing education programs. The college said it’s master’s degree in organizational leadership and the executive and workplace coaching graduate certificate courses will be discounted to all retired, active duty, national guard, reserve forces and their spouses.

Dumas man wins $500,000 in Arkansas lottery scratch-off
One Arkansas lottery player recently won big with a lucky scratch-off ticket he purchased on his way to work. A Dumas resident, identified by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery only as “Michael R.,” won $500,000 by playing the $20 200X the Win instant game. Jerry Jones in federal court for case against woman claiming to be his daughter
TEXARKANA — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones arrived at a federal court in Texarkana Monday morning for a paternity case he has been fighting for the last two years. Jones countersued Alexandra Davis for breach of contract after she publicly claimed he was her father. The settlement contract was with her mother, Cynthia Davis, going back to the late 1990s.The trial will be centered around Jones' counterclaim."[Jones] knows he's the father. Volunteers take to the field at 13th annual Watermelon Crawl
