Blood donations are urgently needed for patients in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas
The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is down to less than a day of blood for area patients, and it's urging eligible donors to give as soon as possible. This marks the most severe shortage in over two years, according to Michelle Teter, spokesperson for CBCO. The blood bank is calling it "an emergency need."

2 accused in residential theft, vehicle break-in

According to several sources, an independent Western film, “Broken Trail,” is being filmed in Van Buren. “Broken Trail” is directed by Johnny Remo and produced by Skipstone Pictures. NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The New Hope Baptist Church Social Service Ministry will give food away on Thursday, July 25 at 1821 Edmonds St North Little Rock. Under the leadership of Pastor Dr. George Shears III, New Hope Baptist serves the community of North Little Rock with food giveaways on the fourth Thursday of the month. Last year, they served 1,752 families and provided 83,797 pounds of food. Members donated 2,124 volunteer hours.
