3 most important games for Nebraska football in 2024
Matt Rhule is entering his second season as head coach of Nebraska football and everyone around the program has the same goal: make a bowl game. Rhule feels the pressure that's on his shoulders to avoid being the next Scott Frost or Mike Riley who just never seemed to get Nebraska off the ground, but he has a distinct advantage of knowing what not to do as the head coach of the Cornhuskers. Moreover, he has a five-star quarterback to rely on, even if he is just a true freshman.

Nebraska Supreme Court upholds law restricting both medical care for transgender youth and abortion
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A Nebraska law that combined abortion restrictions with another measure to limit gender-affirming health care for minors does not violate a state constitutional amendment requiring bills to stick to a single subject, a majority of the Nebraska Supreme Court ruled Friday. 2024 Sleeper: Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda
Every year different players come from well off-the-radar to make their mark on the Nebraska football season. In 2023 no one anticipated players like Emmett Johnson, Jaylen Lloyd, James Williams and more making game changing plays. That's to say nothing of players like Heinrich Haarberg or Chubba Purdy or even...
Dylan Raiola's been early to work, late to leave while blending well in Husker program
It fits the bill Dylan Raiola is wanting to be at the Omaha airport as a greeter and travel partner when five-star offensive lineman David Sanders arrives Friday afternoon. Just part of a day's duty for the high-profile quarterback. Yet to take a college snap. Yet to be named Nebraska's starter. Yet certainly the rare form of true freshman where it is beyond silly to talk around him as we usually do with rookies until they've made a play.

Panhandle man arrested after shots fired
On Wednesday, July 25, at 6:37 a.m., law enforcement responded to a call at a rural residence approximately one mile east of Mitchell NE. The reporting party, a female at home with her children, reported that a male was knocking at her back door, that he had a handgun, that he might be on drugs, and she thought he was trying to get into the house. She then reported hearing multiple shots fired, although none were fired into the house. A Scotts Bluff County Deputy was first to arrive on scene. He located the male nearby and took him into custody without incident. The male had a handgun in his possession but did not threaten the Deputy with it.
