Walmart Gresham Market to host ‘Wellness Day’ with free screenings, affordable shots

The newly-remodeled Gresham Walmart will show off its new look during a wellness day that offers free health screenings and immunizations for families during back-to-school season.

The Walmart Wellness Day, happening across the nation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, will also be at the Gresham Neighborhood Market, 2444 E. Powell Blvd. The event will have free glucose, cholesterol, MBI and blood pressure screenings; as well as affordable shots for flu, HPV, tetanus, hepatitis, COVID, MMR, whooping cough, and more.

“As a back-to-school destination, Walmart’s Wellness Day provides a unique opportunity for families to streamline health needs and school supply shopping,” said Kevin Host, Walmart’s senior vice president of pharmacy. “It’s one of our favorite times of the year and we are thrilled we can provide affordable health options for communities across the country on Wellness Day to help start the school year off strong.”

Wellness Day also allows families to chat with pharmacists to get health tips. The annual event has been held since 2014.

The Walmart Gresham Market is fresh off grand reopening celebration. The improvements include a full-service hot deli, better delivery/pickup up, improvements to in-store layout and signage, fresh paint and new concrete, updated backroom, and more.
