    MCSO seeks new Community Budget Advisory Committee members

    Looking to play a role in the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office?

    Well, look no further, as it seeks new members for its Community Budget Advisory Committee.

    Members meet once each month from November to April to learn about work at the sheriff's office and provide perspective on the coming fiscal year budget.

    The committee provides recommendations to the Multnomah County Chair and Board of County Commissioners each spring during a public board meeting ahead of the adoption of the county's annual budget.

    The Multnomah County Office of Community Involvement (OCI) manages the application process for all county CBACs.

    Here's a timeline for new members:

    Voluntary Information Sessions for applicants at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, and Thursday, Oct. 3. Contact the OCI with questions and to find the zoom link. Applications are due Friday, Oct. 11.Review of applications and follow up from Monday, Oct. 14 to Friday, Oct. 18. Notification of selection on Tuesday, Oct. 19. General orientation led by OCI at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
