Community rallies to raise $100k for 11-year-old who lost leg following ATV accident
The Whitesville and Knottsville communities came together in a big way over the weekend, raising more than $100,000 for the family of Braxton Rhodes, an 11-year-old boy who lost his leg following a recent ATV accident. Michael “Doodle” Morris and his friend, Adam Howard, developed a plan and leaned on several volunteers to bring the fundraiser to life at Morris’ home, attracting more than 1,000 attendees.

Hopkinsville man charged following foot pursuit on East Second Street
A Hopkinsville man is facing charges following a foot pursuit that occurred near East Second Street Sunday afternoon. According to the report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers were patrolling in the area of East Second and South Virginia Street when they made contact with 41-year-old Bobbie Dupin of Hopkinsville. It was confirmed that he had an active warrant out for his arrest, but when officers attempted to take him into custody, Dupin allegedly fled on foot.
