Rumpke opens new NKY headquarters, consolidating regional operations
The City of Covington’s former Public Works facility on Boron Drive has been transformed into Rumpke’s new Northern Kentucky headquarters. Rumpke, a major waste management company in the Greater Cincinnati area, has a large presence in Northern Kentucky. In addition to a landfill in Pendleton County, it operates a transfer station in Covington.
Sandy McClain leaves children unattended in Walmart parking lot while getting her hair done
59-year-old Sandy McClain was caught leaving her grandchildren unattended in the back of her blue Chevy Trax in the Walmart parking lot on Fort Campbell Boulevard on July 29th. When officers arrived, they were informed that McClain had left her vehicle unlocked, with the windows down and the engine off, while the children were inside. Shortly after receiving this information, officers observed McClain coming out of Walmart and approaching her car.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — It was a long Sunday for Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control (LFACC), which took in a variety of dogs on Sunday despite being at capacity. LFACC posted on Facebook around 1 p.m. on Tuesday that staff took in 15 dogs and a sick kitten on Sunday.
