Numerous violations Lead To Closure Of Largest Nursing Home In MT
Montana Free Press is reporting that The Ivy at Great Falls will be closing in August 2024. Montana's largest nursing home is being closed due to a litany of patient safety violations for years. The Ivy at Great Falls was terminated from the federal Medicaid and Medicare programs in July of 2024.

BUTLER CREEK FIRE (NW of Missoula) The Butler Creek Fire was first report Monday, July 22, 2024, at about 1:30am. The fire is burning west of Butler Creek Rd in grass and heavy timber, 7 miles northwest of downtown Missoula. It is north of I-90, and east of Hwy 93. So far, it has burned 307 acres, and is 15% contained. Its cause is being investigated.
Chase in Montana Tops 130 MPH, 14 Vehicles Were Almost Hit
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 21, 2024, a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper observed a motor vehicle traveling southbound on US Highway 93 into Lolo. The trooper’s radar showed the vehicle traveling 72 MPH entering a 45 MPH zone. The trooper observed that the driver was a male and there was one female passenger.

Powell hosts the 2024 Wyoming American Legion Baseball Class ‘A’ State Tournament from July 27-31. It is an eight-team, modified, double-elimination bracket. The Powell Pioneers are the defending Class A State Champions. It was their first championship since 2010. Six of the eight teams were in last year’s field. Evan DePaolo, who just graduated from KWHS this May, took home the $25,000 first-place scholarship on Sunday, playing multiple percussion pieces in the Grand Teton Music Festival’s Seventh Annual Scholarship Competition held in honor of the festival’s music director, Donald Runnicles.
