If you work or spend a good amount of your time downtown, you know it can sometimes be a challenge to pop into a restaurant and have a quick lunch. Often a hopefully quick meal ends up dragging, and then your entire lunch break has gone by the wayside. You might not want to head out to a drive-through, and popping into a 7/11 isn’t much better either (unless you’re craving a sleeve of Oreos and a bag of Takis). Thankfully, a new grab-and-go restaurant has opened in downtown Tucson, making it easier than ever to pop in, and grab a sit-down caliber meal, all without spending all of your time waiting for your meal to be prepared.

The brand-new De Novo Market and Tap has officially opened at 177 North Church Avenue (Suite 106). This is on the ground floor of the Transamerica Building. So if you work in or around the building and have been looking for a new lunch or dinner spot, De Novo Market and Tap may be your answer.

While there is a grab-and-go option, you can opt to sit down, order a meal, and grab a beverage. It offers the best of both worlds, which has been much needed in the area.

A full menu has yet to be announced, as the website has not been finished, nor are there any social media profiles for the new restaurant. All of that information should be made available in the coming days, but if you are in the area, feel free to stop by and check out the quick-serve meals.

Hours of operation currently listed on the to-be-finished website say the restaurant is open seven days a week from 8 AM until 3:59 AM, though whether this will change has not yet been announced. The grab-and-go deli portion may be desirable for individuals who want to pick up something to eat in the evening, or if they work a late shift. However, once again, information about De Novo Market and Tap is still limited.

Currently, other businesses that are located inside of the Transamerica Building on the corner of North Stone Avenue and West Alameda Street include a number of legal and county departments, such as the Arizona Center for Disability Law, Pima County Bar Association, Pima Country Transportation, Pima County Regional Wastewater, Pima County Development Services, Tucson Planning & Development Services, Presidio Management Inc, and Southwest Fair Housing.

But some people don’t care that we have a failing economy.
