Brazilian steakhouses are famous for the never-ending cuts of beef. If you are hungry and ask for more the meat keeps coming. Of course, this is on top of the buffet set up with all kinds of Brazilian and American staples. If you’re hungry and you have an appetite, few places can stack up with these Brazilian restaurants. And now, a classic brand in the world of these South American steakhouses is coming to metro Phoenix in the coming months.

Rodizio Grill recently announced that it would be expanding further West. In the announcement four new locations were given, including North Scottsdale. An exact address was not given at the time of tha announcement. However, it is expected to open sometime before the end of 2024, so that information will be forthcoming shortly. There is currently one Rodizio Grill at 1840 South Val Vista Drive in Mesa, but other than this, the Valley is a barren wasteland to the brand. In fact, outside of Las Vegas and San Diego, there aren’t many on the West Coast.

In terms of meat, you have a solid selection of types and cuts to choose from. There is Maminh (tri-tip sirloin), Bife Com Parmesão (Parmesan center cut steak), Fraldinha, the classic Picanha (beef top sirloin cap), and the Bife Com Alho (cut of beef bastered in traditional garlic rub). Of course, there is more than just all-you-can-eat cuts of beef. There are various offerings of chicken, pork, lamb, seafood, as well as grilled fruits.

Hungry for some classic Brazilian dishes? A few of the options you can grab from the buffet include Feijoada (a traditional black bean stew), Couve (sauteed collard greens and bacon), Pure de Batata (mashed potatoes), Sopa do Dia (soup of the day), as well as the fan favorite Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread balls). Other dishes can be grabbed at the salad and dessert bars.

Additionally, no trip to a Brazilian restaurant can be considered complete without sampling the classic caipirinha cocktail. The beverage is made with Brazilian cachaça, lime juice, and sugar. Cachaça is close to rum, although not as pungent and sweet. The cocktail itself tastes very similar to a margarita, minus the tequila taste. While it would be perfect for a hot day (there’s a reason locals and visitors alike suck them down while walking the beaches of Rio), it will be just as taste to order once Rodizio Grill opens this coming year in North Scottsdale.
