Do you like tacos? Well, you live in greater Phoenix, so hopefully you do. According to Pew Research, one in ten restaurants around the country serve some variation of Mexican food, while in Maricopa County alone, there are over 1,700 restaurants. This number is only lower than Harris County, Texas (which is the third most populated county in the country), San Diego County, and Los Angeles County. With so many Mexican restaurants in greater Phoenix, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise when another entry is added to the list. That is exactly what has happened, as The Taco Spot has once again opened another location. This time in Gilbert.

The Taco Spot might be the fastest-growing local taco brand around the Valley. It started in 2020 and now it has a total of 11 restaurants around the greater metro area. Of course, to have that kind of growth it is necessary to have some kind of unique food offering. That is exactly what you’ll find at The Taco Spot, as you can order not only tacos sporting handmade tortillas, but you can dip it into piping hot ramen. So, if you’ve ever had the munchies hit and couldn’t decide between tacos or a bowl of ramen, you no longer have to choose.

The all-new restaurant is the very first to open in Gilbert, which is good news for locals who might love the other locations but not want to drive so far (or who have been wanting to check it out). Located at 835 South Gilbert Road (Suite 104), this is right off of the intersection with East Warner Road.

The taco menu includes Surf and Turf (carne asada, shrimp, Monterrey cheese, pico de gallo, and house sauce), Al Pastor, Chicken, and Birria. Burrito options include Chicken, Bean and Cheese, Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Surf and Turf, and Birria. There are also various bowls and several kinds of quesadillas. The menu continues, including various tortas, a birria pizza, plus several breakfast burritos (sausage, chorizo, and bacon). If you want to try the famous dipping ramen, you can opt for the Birria Ramen, or the Birria Ramen Combo, which comes with a bowl of ramen and two dipping tacos.

If you’re hungry and want to stop by the all-new Taco Spot, it is Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM until 9 PM, and on Friday and Saturday from 9 AM until 11 PM.
