It’s hard to go wrong with the classic burger and beer combo. There’s just something about a well-made burger paired with a frosty pint of a favorite beverage that helps you forget about life’s troubles. At least for a few minutes (or until the bill comes). And if there’s one place in the country that knows a thing or two about quality beef, cheese, and brews, it’s Wisconsin. That is why a taphouse chain from Wisconsin makes too much sense. It combines everything the state is known for and squishes it down into a single restaurant. And now, that restaurant is opening a new location in greater Phoenix.

The all-new Mr. Brews Taphouse is the second location in the Valley. This Mesa restaurant, which you can now visit at 1157 North Ellsworth Road (Suite 102) is so hot off the grill, the official website hasn’t updated its listing yet (it still lists it as “Coming Soon.”

The original Arizona location, which is also in Mesa, now has the city covered, so whether you live on the north side or south, there’s a location near you. This taphouse is located at 1113 South Signal Butte Road (Suite 106) in Mesa and is open on Sunday from 11 AM until 8 PM, Monday through Thursday from 11 AM until 9 PM, and on Friday from 11 AM until 10 PM (though the kitchen closes at 9).

If you haven’t been to the first location but want to check it, or the all-new Mr. Brews Taphouse out, the starters menu features everything from chips and salsa, pulled pork nachos and onion rings to Wisconsin cheese curds, fried pickle fries, and jalapeno poppers.

Interested instead in one of the craft burgers? Sure thing. You can munch on the All-American (topped with your selection of cheese and topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions), the Peanut Buster (spicy peanut butter spread combined with pepper jack cheese and bacon), the Kentucky Bourbon Classic (cheddar cheese, grilled onions, bacon, french-fried onions, and Kentucky bourbon may), Bacon Mac N Cheese (topped off with bacon, macaroni and cheese, plus a dash of cayenne pepper), plus others like the Rajun’ Cajun, California Burger (features guac), plus beef and pulled pork sliders.

Other menu items include wings, fries and chips, flatbread sandwiches, plus burger bowls, which are basically the salad variations of a burger, so if you don’t want a bun, you can still enjoy the flavors of a classic burger.
