Clayton School Board Talks Tax Rates
JONESBORO — The Clayton County Board of Education begins its millage rate public hearings Monday, July 29 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. A final public hearing and vote is scheduled Monday, Aug. 5 at 11 a.m. All meetings will be held at the school system’s Administration Complex, 1058 Fifth Ave., Jonesboro.

212-unit development coming to Bridges at Jodeco MPC
Thompson Thrift plans to develop The Levi, a 212-unit class-A apartment project in the 158-acre Bridges at Jodeco master-planned community in Stockbridge. Located at 2245 Jodeco Road, the Henry County development will occupy almost 15 acres. Apartments will come in one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans and average 1,100 square feet.
County, Animal Advocates Thank Shelter Staff, Volunteers
Fayette County and members of the Fayette County Animal Task Force hosted a county animal shelter staff and volunteer appreciation event on July 20. At the county shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City, FCATF members provided food for attendees and toured the facility while interacting with staff, volunteers, and county officials.
