Matthew Fisher's return headlines Memorial Football season
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - After being sidelined for much of last season, Matthew Fisher is back at quarterback for the Memorial Tigers. While Luke Ellspermann did a great job filling in, the team played best last season when they had their starters all in their spots. Now this team is filled with potential again this season with a healthy squad. Another bonus in Fisher’s return is that Luke Ellspermann can now go back to his natural position where he can be used best.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University men's soccer team fell 2-1 to Evansville on Thursday in its season opener in Owsley B. Frazier Stadium. Senior midfielder Brendan Schoemehl answered a second-half goal by Evansville (1-0) with one of his own, but the Purple Aces regained the lead quickly thereafter and held off Bellarmine (0-1) to secure the win.

A Woman Gets Arrested For Taking Advantage Of Applebee's
A woman found herself in cuffs after sharing her “All You Can Eat” special at Applebee’s. Shawneesha Cobbs, 28, of Chicago, went to an Applebee’s in Indiana and got the $15.99 special, great deal right? Well she allegedly shared with the rest of her table, and that's a big no no. When the manager objected and charged the woman for two specials, they got into a heated argument, resulting in the police being called. The woman was warned by police that she could be charged with disorderly conduct and continued yelling until she was arrested.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb presented longevity awards Aug. 15 to Indiana companies that have been in business for more than 50 and 100 years. Two businesses from the Radius Indiana region were among those receiving the Governor’s Century and Half Century awards. A total of 48 awards were presented.
