GROESBECK, Texas ( FOX 44 ) – A Groesbeck junior officer saves the day with the help of a doggy door!

Groesbeck Police recently responded to a request for assistance from an elderly resident. The resident inadvertently locked themselves out of their house and had no way to get back in since all doors and windows were locked.

The officers noticed a small “doggy door” near one of the exterior doors. They then contacted Junior Officer Lincoln and asked for his assistance. Lincoln responded immediately, crawled through the doggy door and unlocked the door for the resident.

Police say Junior Officer Lincoln has been with the department for a few years, and officers appreciate his willingness to help out when he’s needed.
