The spotted lanternfly is a brightly colored insect known for its red, white, black and tan appearance, as well as its spotted wings. However, they're known to suck the sap from trees and vines, damaging them and attracting other insects and even mold to the plants.

LANSING, MI – With bipartisan support, state lawmakers are finally moving ahead with opening themselves and the governor’s office to public records requests. If the bill becomes law, Michigan would no longer be the only state in the U.S. where the governor’s office is exempt from Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Only one other state exempts lawmakers from FOIA requests.
