Drew Salyers claims title at the 103rd Ohio Open Championship
Leading up to the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Westfield Country Club was the state-wide center for Ohio golf, hosting the 103rd Ohio Open Championship. The Ohio Open, one of the oldest and most prestigious events in the state, has been won by Ohio golfing legends such as Jack Nicklaus (1956), Byron Nelson (1940-41-42), Herman Keiser (1951), Denny Shute (1929-30-31-1950), Tom Weiskopf (1965), and Billy Burke (1938-39-45-55). But, of the record total of 288 professionals (135) and amateurs (154) from throughout Ohio that entered, a new champion would join some of the game of golf’s all-time greats.

Keita Bates-Diop will be in the Big Apple to begin his seventh NBA season. The former Ohio State forward was dealt from the Brooklyn Nets to the New York Knicks along with star wing Mikal Bridges and a second-round pick.
