River otter responsible for multiple deaths at Lake Eola
A river otter was discovered in Lake Eola on Monday, July 15, unfortunately, the City of Orlando’s Families, Parks, and Recreation staff also found two Australian Black swans and one duck dead. The assumption is that the otter is responsible for the deaths of the swans and ducks though it was not caught on camera.

About the 80-20 law. When we decided to move to The Villages in 2005 we were not allowed to buy a new home because of our age. I checked with a real estate lawyer and was informed that the law only applies to the Developer. He can allow up to 20 percent if he chooses. However, he can’t stop anyone over the age of 19 from buying an existing house. That would violate the federal age discrimination law. We purchased our home at 49 and there wasn’t anything they could do.

Homeless unlicensed driver and gal pal arrested in vehicle stolen in Leesburg
A stolen vehicle was recovered from a homeless man with a suspended license and a Leesburg woman with meth, announced the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. On July 6, a deputy was on patrol in the Fruitland Park area when he ran a license plate query on a vehicle and discovered the vehicle was stolen out of Leesburg. The deputy was able to follow the vehicle until additional units, as well as Leesburg PD, were able to assist.
