Police surround wooded area in Lincoln amid ongoing protest
Police surrounded a wooded area in Middlesex County after several protesters tied themselves to trees and construction equipment. Officers were lined along a forest on Route 2 in Lincoln. A group called “Protect the Lincoln Forest” shared photos with Boston 25 News inside the treeline Wednesday afternoon. They say that in the last two days, four protesters have been arrested by police. Two were allegedly taken into custody on Tuesday for refusing to leave the trees and two were arrested Wednesday for chaining themselves to construction vehicles.

BOSTON (TCN) -- A 52-year-old attorney once touted as one of People magazine’s "most eligible bachelors" was sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a woman in 2021 after a night out. WBZ-TV reports a judge sentenced Gary Zerola on Monday, July 15, to five to 10 years behind bars after he was convicted last month of rape. BOSTON – With the release of the city’s Boston Rodent Action Plan (BRAP), Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn believes that although there are positive steps outlined on ways to address our pest control crisis and better coordination among our dedicated city departments, the plan falls short of the recommendation of both Councilor Flynn and the study’s author, renowned rodent urbanologist Dr. Bobby Corrigan, that the city revisit the idea of formally creating a “rat czar” like New York City has implemented. Moreover, after talking with residents and businesses across the city for years, Councilor Flynn takes issue with the analysis of the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) that our current pest control crisis does not pose a high public health threat to the residents of Boston and their families.
