Somebody bought a winning $1 million scratch ticket in Massachusetts for $50 and came forward to claim their prize on Tuesday. The $1 million prize was from the lottery’s “Billion Dollar Extravaganza” scratch ticket game. The game was released on Feb. 7, 2023 as the first installment of the Massachusetts State Lottery’s $50 instant tickets. Two $1 million and three $2 million prizes remain to be claimed as of July 16.

Georgetown store owner, employee accused of selling vape cartridges without permit
A pair of men from Haverhill are facing criminal charges after police say they found the men were selling THC vape cartridges without a license at their Georgetown store. Ram Gupta, 30, and Dinseh Kumar Yadav, 29, were arraigned on charges of distribution of a class C substance, possession with intent to distribute a class C substance, delivering cigarettes to a minor, sale of flavored tobacco and conspiracy to violate drug laws in Haverhill District Court on Wednesday. Both men were released on personal recognizance after posting a $5,000 bail when they were arrested, court records show.
