A power outage across much of the Five Cities area left more than 28,000 PG&E customers without electricity Tuesday night.

The outage included Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, Oceano and parts of Nipomo. It was reported at 7:05 p.m. and affected 28,152 customers.

“There is an unplanned outage in your area. Our team is evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on,” PG&E said on its outage map.

PG&E estimated power would be restored by 10:45 p.m., but it was back on within a couple hours.
