Young boy struck by vehicle in Firestone Park July 11 has died
The young boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Firestone Park on July 11 has died, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. Kingston Solomon, 7, passed away the next day, July 12, at Akron Children's Hospital at 2:35 p.m. His death was from blunt force trauma to the head and was ruled an accident, Gary Guenther of the medical examiner's office said.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A family from Fort Collins is set to receive a $200,000 check for winning the most recent Treasure Games contest!. The family, which isn’t going to be publicly identified until Tuesday, took part in a competitive geocaching event and found a genie lamp hidden behind King’s Chef Diner in downtown Colorado Springs. The lamp was hidden there back in February. The family searched for months along with thousands of other people, according to Steinfeld Consulting.
Cheesman Street Residences affordable housing project breaks ground, reservations to begin in December
The Cheesman Street Residences affordable housing project has broken ground with home prices to start at $385,000, half the average price of a home in Erie. Erie and the developer, Vertikal, will make 35 affordable housing units in the northeast corner of Cheesman Street and County Line Road. The development will offer five different housing types ranging from 900-1,500 square feet with 2- and 3-bedroom options. Reservations for the homes will start Dec. 1, with move-ins to begin in 2025.
