The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office arrested a sexual predator on West Lacey Street in Carbon Hill around 7:30 p.m. on June 21st. Terry Hill Jr, 28, of Morris was arrested for being a Sex Offender in a Park in violation of his sex offender status. Grundy County Coroner John W. Callahan’s office has identified the victim of a 1976 cold-case homicide, and her identify will be revealed at a press conference on Thursday. On October 2, 1976, a farmer near Seneca discovered the body of an unidentified black female. Her body was found alongside Route 6 outside of town. According to Callahan's office, after weeks of exhausting all efforts to get to the woman's identity, she was buried in an unmarked grave on Thanksgiving Day of 1976.
