Trenton Woman Facing Multiple Charges Ahead of August Criminal Hearing
TRENTON, Mo - A criminal hearing is scheduled next month in Grundy County for a Trenton woman. According to probably cause statements 41-year-old Stacy Craig is facing four different charges from two incidents last month. The initial incident occurred on May 31st at a residence in the 1200 block of Lawn Street. Authorities arrived at the residence at 8 that morning to find a friend of Craig's dead on the floor. Craig told police that her friend had been breathing at 6 am. However, the Grundy County Coroner stated in his expert opinion that the victim had been dead for 12-16 hours. Officers later found a security camera system that had been replaced since the incident and the files had been deleted. Craig faces charges of abandonment of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence for that incident.
