Thousands of people have been ordered to evacuate as a wildfire rages out of control in northern California, with the region gripped by an "exceptionally dangerous" heatwave that is making conditions worse. Heat Warning Extended Until Next Tuesday as Temperature Records Get Broken
Temperature records were broken across the Bay Area yesterday as the excessive heat warning continues. Santa Rosa topped out at 105 degrees on Tuesday which was a record for the date of July 2nd. Records were also set in San Rafael at 103 degrees, Kentfield at 103, and Oakland at 90. On top of that, the heat warning for most of Northern California has now been extended until next Tuesday at 11 PM. Most of Sonoma County should expect several more days in the triple digits and high 90’s.
