Tacos takeover Guilford for the 4th annual New England Taco Festival

GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Tacos aren’t just for Tuesdays in Guilford as the New England Taco Festival returns to the Guilford Fairgrounds this weekend.

The Taco Festival showcases more than 20 food trucks from the New England area with an abundance of tacos to choose from.

“We have tacos of all sorts of varieties; over 100 different varieties,” said organizer Jill Perez. “We have authentic tacos, we have Mexican birria tacos for people who like the new birria trend of tacos, carnitas, every type of variety that you could imagine.”

Tacos were hardly the only attraction at the festival. Throughout the day guests were also treated to live Lucha Libre wrestling matches, mariachi bands, mechanical bull rides and living donkey rides.

Perez told News 8, “This is really a family-friendly event, so we get a lot of feedback from the community especially people from Guilford. They come, they enjoy the day with their kids.”

The festival continues at 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
