“In my experience, 70% of vintage guitars are clunkers – a new guitar will beat their sound and how they play. But if you get that diamond in the rough, it’s next-level”: Wayne Sermon is sneaking vintage guitars into Imagine Dragons’ blockbuster pop-rock

It's interesting what the neck profile and pickup selection do for your style of playing. I used to think that it was all about finding the easiest neck to play, but not necessarily. Don't get me wrong, I like the Wizard, U and D profiles for scaling, but some of the C and offset necks lend themselves to blues/jazz. Also the fretboard radii/compound radius give a different take on things. Single coils/P90s, humbuckers (taps/potted), piezo and Lace sensors will chuck out sound different on different tone woods. Gotta learn what that beast can do across function and range (3 position Strat between detent positions? ). That's why it's fun to listen what your stack is telling you. Keep on jamming!
