    Fresh & Zesty 7-Layer Dip Recipe


    Ingredients:

    Refried Beans Layer:

    • 1 (16 oz) can of refried beans

    Taco Sour Cream Layer:

    • 1 packet of taco seasoning mix
    • 2 cups sour cream

    Pico de Gallo Layer:

    • 3 medium tomatoes, diced
    • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
    • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
    • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
    • 1 lime, juiced
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    Guacamole Layer:

    • 2 ripe avocados
    • 1 lime, juiced
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    Cheese Layer:

    • 1 cup shredded cheese (like Monterey Jack, mozzarella, cheddar, or queso blanco)

    Toppings Layer:

    • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
    • 1/2 cup chopped green onions

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Refried Beans Layer:
      • Spread the refried beans evenly over the bottom of a large, shallow dish or a 9x13-inch pan.
    2. Make the Taco Sour Cream Layer:
      • In a small bowl, mix the taco seasoning with the sour cream until well combined.
      • Spread this mixture evenly over the refried beans.
    3. Make the Pico de Gallo Layer:
      • In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well.
      • Spread the pico de gallo evenly over the taco sour cream layer.
    4. Make the Guacamole Layer:
      • In a bowl, mash the avocados with the lime juice, salt, and garlic powder until smooth.
      • Spread the guacamole evenly over the pico de gallo layer.
    5. Sprinkle the White Cheese Layer:
      • Evenly sprinkle the shredded white cheese over the guacamole layer.
    6. Add the Toppings:
      • Top with chopped tomatoes and green onions.
    7. Chill and Serve:
      • Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
      • Serve with tortilla chips.
