Lawrenceville Home Severely Damaged in Arson; Grandson Arrested After Fleeing Scene
On Saturday night, July 20th, Gwinnett County firefighters responded at 8:53 p.m. to a report of a house fire on the 3000 block of Iron Gate Court in Lawrenceville. A 911 caller reported smoke coming from the home and confirmed that everyone had been evacuated. The caller also mentioned that the grandson of the occupants had attempted to burn the house down.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Lawrenceville house was badly damaged by fire Saturday night in what Gwinnett County officials believe to be an arson case. Near 9 p.m., a neighbor called 911 to report the fire in the 3000 block of Iron Gate Court. When firefighters arrived, the garage and the back side of the home were ablaze, according to Gwinnett County Fire & Emergency Services.
