Gwinnett High School Students Get Invaluable Experience At Georgia Gwinnett College Summer Chemistry Program
Those were the words of Malachi McClain, 15, of Dacula, who skipped the beach this summer in favor of conducting research in a college chemistry lab. A rising junior at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology, McClain is part of a student cohort from four Gwinnett County high schools who are participating in the Project SEED program at Georgia Gwinnett College.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A man has been arrested for the shooting death of a man behind a Gwinnett County gas station on Sunday night. Ernesto Garcia-Bailon, 20, from Norcross, has been booked into the Gwinnett County Jail and has been charged with aggravated assault, felony murder and malice murder.

A Gwinnett County man who police say killed a woman before turning his gun on himself Thursday has survived his gunshot wound and is facing multiple charges, including murder.
Gwinnett County Police arrest suspect from Norcross homicide
Gwinnett County Police have arrested a Norcross man in connection with the murder of a man in that city Sunday night, July 14. Police say 20-year old Ernesto Garcia Bailon of Norcross, charging him with aggravated assault, felony murder, and malice murder. Garcia-Bailon is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, as of last report. Investigators have not released the name of the shooting victim, as they are still working to notify the next of kin.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA—Detectives have arrested Ernesto Garcia-Bailon, 20, of Norcross, in connection with a deadly shooting that happened behind a plaza on Sunday, July 14. The shooting occurred just after 9 p.m. in a wooded area behind a plaza located at 4840 Jimmy Carter Blvd. in Norcross, Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD) said. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted to render lifesaving first aid, but the victim died from his injuries, authorities said.
