Saturday saw the 12th annual Power of Four trail run, with Leadville’s Ethan Kirk taking the 50K ultramarathon that traverses the four Aspen-Snowmass mountains. Kirk completed the course with a time of 5 hours, 26 minutes and 39.5 seconds. He was 26 minutes faster than second-place finisher Zachary Russell of Carbondale and 33 minutes faster than Boulder’s Brett Wachtendorf.

Several small fires have been reported along Interstate 70 west of the Rifle exit near mile marker 87.
