New Date and Time Announced for Annual Piscataway Bike Rodeo
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Safe bicycle riding is the theme of this year’s annual Bike Rodeo. Plainfield Police Encourage Residents to Lock Car Doors, Keep Items Out of View
PLAINFIELD, NJ — Starting Tuesday last week, the Plainfield Police Department began to encourage Plainfield residents to lock their cars and hide items from view. "Lock your cars after exiting," reads the statement that has been posted on the city's Facebook page two more times since the initial warning. "When leaving vehicles, please place all items out of view. We’re experiencing an uptick in the theft of personal items from unlocked vehicles, and we want to keep your property safe." Belmar Council to Vote on Major Settlement Agreement with Developers
BELMAR, NJ — At the upcoming council meeting on Tuesday, July 23, the Borough of Belmar will consider a pivotal resolution to approve proposed settlement agreements with multiple developers (As of 9pm on Sunday, the resolution itself was not available on the borough website where the other resolutions are posted). Union Education Assoc. to Host Annual Town-Wide Block Party
UNION, NJ - A "Town-Wide Block Party", hosted by the Union Township Education Association (UTEA), is set for Tuesday, August 13, in Rabkin Park for all Union residents. Car Crashes on Hyatt Hills Golf Course in Clark
Clark, NJ — A single-vehicle accident occurred on the Hyatt Hills Golf Course, located at 1300 Raritan Rd, Sunday evening. Two Tractor-Trailers Crash and Catch Fire in on NJ Turnpike in Monroe Township
MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MIDDLESEX)–New Jersey State Police, Sgt. Charles Marchan, told MidJersey.news that Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at 12:47 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike North, milepost 73, Monroe, Middlesex County, Saturday July 20, 2024. Based on a preliminary investigation, two tractor-trailers were traveling north when they were involved in a collision. After the collision, one of the tractors began to catch on fire. No injuries were reported on scene. The crash remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available.
NJ man dies a hero after rescuing children from dangerous river
HAMILTON (Atlantic) — A man who rescued two boys from a river Wednesday afternoon died several hours later. Township police said the boys, ages 8 and 12, went swimming in the Great Egg Harbor River at Weymouth Furnace County Park around 1 p.m. on July 17. Swimming is prohibited.
