WESTFIELD — Former mayoral candidate and Army veteran Michael L. Roeder is promoting his first book, “Upside Down: America in Trouble 2024.”. In this book, Roeder reflects, and offers solutions, on problems in the U.S political system, immigration, the scourge of drugs, the national debt, corruption, climate change, war and the economy. “Upside Down” has eight themed chapters plus a ninth chapter which is a recap, and an afterword in the form of a diary Roeder kept after he finished the main part of the book.

Dress for Success Receives Grant for Women’s Career Center
Dress for Success of Western Massachusetts (DFSWM), the area’s only workforce-development organization focused exclusively on the needs of women and gender non-conforming people, is expanding its programming to include a new women’s career center in downtown Springfield. The organization recently received a three-year, $133,000 grant from the Women’s Foundation of Boston to help fund this expansion.
