Badgett family creates three MSU scholarships for College of Education and Human Services
MURRAY, Ky. – The Badgett family and the J. Rogers Badgett Sr. Foundation of Madisonville, Ky., have made a significant multiyear commitment to the College of Education and Human Services through the Murray State University Foundation. The Badgett family has a rich history of supporting education throughout Western Kentucky and began their support of Murray State more than 15 years ago.

RICHMOND, Ky. – Former Colonel Isaiah Cozart has signed to play professionally for RASTA Vechta in the German Basketball League. RASTA plays in the easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga, which includes 18 teams in the highest German basketball league and organizes the German Championship and the BBL Cup. Floyd County keeps flooding and the federal government keeps coming to the rescue. In July 2022, at least 40 people died and 300 homes were damaged when the eastern Kentucky county flooded. It was the 13th time in 12 years that the rural county was declared a federal disaster. These are disasters so costly that local governments feel they can’t pay for it all, so the governor asks the president to declare a disaster freeing up federal funds.
