Seven student films from Barbara Ingram School for the Arts' photo and cinema department have been selected for the All-American High School Film Festival this fall in New York.

The films were selected from more than 2,500 submissions from 50 states and more than 40 countries.

Two of the films were from the school’s new collaboration class, which allows all BISFA students to work together through filmmaking. The other five films are from the photography department.

BISFA’s photography and cinematography department was established in 2020 and offers four years of pre-college training in these media.

The films will be shown at the AMC Theaters in Times Square during the festival weekend, Oct. 18-20.

The official selection puts the films in the running for various awards. The award nominees and winners will be announced live during the Teen Indie Awards Show on Sunday, Oct. 20.

In 2023, more than $600,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded.
