    Barbara Ingram School for the Arts inspires youth through summer learning academies

    HAGERSTOWN, Md. ( DC News Now ) — It is a learning-filled summer at the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, a Washington County magnet school.

    Students there participate in choir practice, piano recitals and creativity.

    The school features 17 creative categories in its summer program.

    “The school is so special,” said Ally Sirbaugh with the school. “The kids really enjoy being here and to hav[ing] the opportunity to learn in this creative environment is amazing.”

    Rachel Thomas with the school’s foundation says students at Barbara Ingram “learn from the best in the county” with a top-notch faculty.

    The academy is open to students from grades five through 12.
