1 dead, multiple people shot in Taneytown, sheriff's office says
TANEYTOWN, Md. — One person is dead after multiple people were shot overnight in a mass shooting in Taneytown. The Carroll County Sheriff's Office said deputies, Maryland state troopers, Taneytown police officers and county fire crews were called around 10:05 p.m. to Bear Run Road at Runnymede Road, about five minutes east of town, where they found multiple people shot.
