Halifax County pianist to perform at concert

Concerns linger as solar benefits touted in Halifax County
In 2023, Dominion Energy’s Piney Creek Solar facility in Clover became operational. While touring The Gazette-Virginian around the facility earlier this month, Tim Eberly, senior communications specialist for Dominion Energy, explained Dominion acquired the site in 2021 with construction commencing in 2022.
Halifax County Darlings win district title, head to state tournament
The Halifax County Dixie Softball Darlings all-stars won the District 7 softball tournament championship Wednesday night at Central Middle School in Charlotte Court House after defeating Brookneal 8-3. This win advances the Halifax Darlings to the state tournament planned in South Hill for July 12-15.

Rehab Development is a Winston-Salem, North Carolina, based developer specializing in downtown Main Street revitalization, historic preservation and successful public/private partnership formation, and Destination Downtown South Boston is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer-based Virginia Main Street organization dedicated to the economic and cultural revitalization of downtown South Boston.
Inez Upton Fallen
Inez Upton Fallen of Lake Conner Road, Nathalie passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 24, 2024. She was born in Halifax County on Oct. 1, 1933, to the late Joseph William Upton and the late Ida Gordon Upton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jennings Fallen.
