Boothbay Harbor house fire extinguished quickly
At 11:07 a.m. Sunday, July 14, Lincoln County Emergency Communications received a 911 call concerning an exterior structure fire at 42 Union St. in Boothbay Harbor. Fire crews from Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay, Edgecomb, Southport and Boothbay Region Ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene, with initial units from Boothbay Harbor and Boothbay Fire arriving on scene at 11:10.

Body of missing kayaker recovered from Frenchman Bay
BAR HARBOR, Maine — The body of a missing kayaker from Colorado Springs was recovered Saturday night in Frenchman Bay. The Department of Marine Resources said in a news release 73-year-old Dennis Webber of Colorado Springs, Colorado had launched his kayak at the end of Seely Road in Bar Harbor around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday for a solo trip.

Longtime Downtown Waterville Store Slated to Close Later This Month
For the last decade or so, many Central Maine residents have become familiar with the Re-Store. It's indeed a store, operated by Waterville Area Habitat for Humanity. Since its inception, the store has sold various pre-loved home-goods and building materials to the general public.
