Mapleton Daze brings fun to community

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country announce schedules
ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's and women's cross country teams have released their schedules for the 2024 season. The teams will open with a home meet on Aug. 30. The Black Bears will kick off the season by hosting Army at Saxl Park in Bangor on Aug. 30 at noon. The following day, the Black Bears will travel to the University of Vermont for the Vermont Invitational. Maine remains on the road for competition on Sept. 27 at Missouri and an Oct. 11 meet at Franklin Pierce before returning to Saxl Park to compete against Husson University....

Conway, NH: Fatal Crash on East Main Street Leaves One Dead, Another Injured
Conway, NH – A fatal crash on East Main Street in Conway has left one dead and another injured. According to the Conway Police Department, officers responded to a collision involving a 2022 Peterbilt Tractor and a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck around 3:57 p.m. on Friday. The vehicles caught fire after the crash, resulting in the death of the pickup truck driver, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Andrew Ouellette, 35, was treated for minor injuries at Memorial Hospital.
