North Dakota Weather: Sunny Midweek with Thunderstorms Expected this Weekend
Grand Forks, ND – Midweek weather in North Dakota will be sunny and mild, but residents should prepare for a shift as the weekend approaches. The National Weather Service in Grand Forks reports mostly sunny skies from Wednesday through Friday, with high temperatures ranging from 70°F to 85°F.
Midweek Cooldown and Quieter Conditions Ahead
TUESDAY: Through the afternoon Tuesday we can expect a few passing clouds, and a weak disturbance will bring isolated thundershowers into our region. Severe storms are not likely, but expect some downpours and lightning in any storms that do develop. Northerly flow will keep temperatures cool today, with highs warming into the upper 60s along the international border to upper 70s south.

OVERNIGHT: Monday afternoon brought much-needed relief from this past weekend’s heat and storms, as we saw highs in the upper-70s, thanks to breezy north-northwesterly winds, and mostly sunny skies. Overnight, a few more clouds move through, and a few rain showers will push through eastern ND and a few areas in western MN. Not much rain is expected from those showers, though, and aside from that, skies will be partly clear. By morning, the best chance for rain will be in southeastern ND. Morning temperatures will be in the 50s to near 60.

Woman who stole puppy sentenced to community service
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A woman charged after stealing a puppy from a Grand Forks pet store has been sentenced to community service. 26-year-old Alexia Jorstad of Grand Forks was facing two felony theft charges after police say she stole a puppy from Pets R’ Inn on Saturday, February 24. A worker told police she was working the front desk when Jorstad came into the store asking to hold a Frenchie puppy. The worker said Jorstad held the puppy for a bit, and then left without paying.
