Rustlin' up biblical fun

Ye Haw!! Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg hosted “Wanted by God!” a Vacation Bible School Day Camp on Monday, June 17.

Over 50 children enjoyed the day with nearly 50 volunteers helping the small groups at various stations! Emanuel Lutheran Church sponsors this free camp each June, offering Bible stories, songs, crafts, games, lunch and a T-shirt for participants and volunteers.

This year a service project was added to the activities for the day. Congregation members, participants, and a grant from Thrivent Financial allowed VBS participants to build 60-pus hygiene care kits for the Saturday Street Ministry at Trinity First Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Each care kit also included a special note written and decorated by a VBS participant.

Emanuel Lutheran Church and School have been blessed to be serving this community and the surrounding areas since 1857 and offers a Biblically-based education for students in 3-year-old preschool - grade 8. For more information call 952-467-2780. (Submitted photos)
