Gracen Grainger Will Compete For Miss USA Title On August 4th
Grainger heads to the national stage for a second time. Gracen Grainger, a native of Dillon County, SC, will be competing for the title of Miss USA on Sunday, August 4th, in Los Angeles, CA. Grainger was crowned the new Miss SC USA this past Saturday, in North Charleston, out of thirty-eight competitors. This is not Grainger’s first time representing the Palmetto State on a national level; she was Miss SC Teen USA in 2020 and placed as a finalist in Miss Teen USA.
Coffee & Talk Held At The Dillon Visitor Center
“Coffee and Talk” at the City of Dillon Visitor Center sponsored by Anderson Brothers Bank was a great event! Held on Wednesday morning, July 24 from 7:30-9:00 a.m., it offered a casual setting for local business owners and community members to connect, start conversations, and network. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy delicious pastries from Nicki’s Sugar Shack and coffee from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee. Events like these are wonderful for fostering community relationships and supporting local businesses.
Scrubby’s Car Wash Opens
Scrubby’s Car Wash is now open for business. It is located at 1110 Hwy. 301 North, Dillon. The hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Scrubby’s Car Wash features state-of-the-art technology, including the Scrubby’s Express Tunnel, which promises to wash cars in just three minutes, allowing up to 100 cars per hour. Additionally, they offer amenities such as an automated wet vacuum for carpets, free vacuums on site, and complimentary chemicals and towels for customers.
Mayor McColl Congratulates “Youth Of The Year” Jerrion Ross
Congratulations to Mr. Jerrion Ross. He has been named “Youth of the Year” on behalf of Body of God by Faith Apostolic, Inc. Mr. Jerrion Ross raised over three hundred dollars in great endeavors to win this award during the 2024 State Youth Convention. Not only did Jerrion win an award he was also able to spend time with the Mayor of Dillon, Mr. Tally McColl. Jerrion was able to chat and enjoy lunch with Mayor McColl. Again, Congratulations to Jerrion Ross as the 2024 “Youth of the Year.”
