Hamilton County Delegate Tom Moffses reflects on historic RNC experience
Tom Moffses, the Delegate for Hamilton County in the Third Congressional District of Florida, has had a remarkable experience representing his community at this year's Republican National Convention (RNC). Having flown into Milwaukee, Wis., on Saturday, July 13, Moffses quickly settled into the convention's rhythm. The welcome session began the following evening, with the convention itself officially starting on Monday, July 15, and spanning a total of four days. Each day, centered around different themes, has been filled with day and night activities, including key moments such as the Vice Presidential and Presidential nominations on Monday.
UF/IFAS 4-H and CareerSource teach students about finances

CareerSource North Florida Summer Youth Education Program partnered with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension Hamilton County 4-H and Family and Consumer Science (FCS) to host a "Living on My Own" program for 4-H students on Tuesday, June 11. "The program immerses students in a simulated environment where they must navigate the financial responsibilities of adult life," UF/IFAS Suwannee Extension FCS agent, Kim Griff.

Triple homicide suspect killed in Hamilton County shootout
A fatal shooting occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, June 25, in Hamilton County involving a homicide suspect who was the subject of a statewide alert. Just before 1 a.m., deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office were alerted to a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) issued by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) for a suspect who was wanted in connection to a triple homicide in Bradenton, Fla. A press release from the MCSO revealed the individual to be 28-year-old Javontee Brice, a resident of Bradenton. Brice's last known location had been tracked to the Gainesville area via his cell phone.
