HAMILTON, NJ - Speed and an obstructed view of all traffic may have been contributing factors in a Tuesday collision that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

According to a report by the Hamilton Police Division, the crash occurred at approximately 6:08 p.m. in the intersection of Norway Ave. And Walnut Ave.

The report states that just prior to the incident, a 2017 Ford Focus proceeded into the intersection, past the posted stop sign, and was impacted on the passenger side by a motorcycle which was traveling northbound on Norway Ave.

The motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway causing serious injuries before he was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the Ford Focus was not injured.

Evidence at the scene, the report says, indicates that the driver of the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and that a number of parked vehicles may have obstructed his view.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact the Hamilton Township Police Division Traffic Unit at 609 581 4024.
