Two vehicle crash reported in Hayti
HAYTI, S.D.(Press Release)-A two-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on the eastern edge of Hayti near 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 27th, 2024. A construction pick-up truck turning left from a South Dakota Department of Transportation driveway onto SD Highway 21 collided with a westbound car. The impact spun both vehicles before they came to a rest.
Stolen Vehicle from Hamlin County Found in Watertown
{KXLG – Hamlin County, SD} A vehicle reported stolen in Hamlin County was recovered in Watertown, according to the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office. On Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at around 12:35 PM, a Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to 465th Avenue in Hamlin Township following a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was later found that night in Watertown by the Watertown Police Department.
Clark Woman Cited After Getting Stuck in Road Construction Site in Hamlin County
{KXLG – Hazel, SD} A vehicle was found stuck in a road construction site in Hamlin County early Sunday morning, leading to citations for a local Clark woman. At approximately 1 a.m. on June 9th, 2024, a vehicle reportedly bypassed road closure barricades on County Road 438 and 183rd Street. The vehicle subsequently became stuck at the site where a bridge over the railroad used to be. The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Clark, remained in the vehicle overnight.
